Author Guidelines

General Guidelines

  • Reference List: Each manuscript must include a comprehensive reference list that only contains works cited in the manuscript. Authors should use a reference management tool such as Mendeley or Zotero to generate the reference list.

  • APA Style: All references should be formatted according to the latest guidelines of the American Psychological Association (APA) Style. This style provides a standardized format for citing various types of sources, including books, journal articles, websites, and electronic media.

  • Citation Format: Each reference entry should include all the necessary information for clear identification of the source. This typically includes the author(s), title of the work, publication date, publisher, and other relevant details depending on the source type.

  • Manuscript Format: Manuscripts should be typed on A4 paper (210mm x 297mm) using Times New Roman 12-point font with 1.5-line spacing. Indented quotes should use single-line spacing. Save the manuscript as a Word file. All pages, including tables, appendices, and references, should be numbered consecutively. Spell out numbers from one to ten, except when used in tables and lists, and when used with mathematical, statistical, scientific, or technical units and measures, such as distance, weight, and size. For example, three days; 3 kilometers; 30 years. All other numbers should be expressed numerically. Authors are encouraged to use the provided template. A sample template is included at the end of this document.

  • Language: Manuscripts should be written in clear academic English. Spelling should follow Webster's International Dictionary. To ensure anonymous review, authors should not identify themselves directly or indirectly in their papers. A single author should not use the word "we". Authors who are not from native English-speaking countries are encouraged to have their papers checked for grammar and clarity before submission. We use Grammarly to help us eliminate language errors. Ensure the manuscript has no more than 250 errors and 5% plagiarism indicators.

  • Article Length: Articles should be between 4000 and 7000 words in length. The allowable manuscript length is at the discretion of the editor; however, manuscripts that are shorter or longer than the specified word count may be returned to the author for revision before the manuscript is considered by the editor. The word count does not include tables, figures, and references.

Title Page

Manuscripts submitted to this journal must have the following title components:

  • Article Title: The article title should be specific and effective, no more than 20 words in length. Write the article title using simple and straightforward language that can give readers a quick idea of its content at first glance.

  • Author Names and Affiliations: Full names of each author, each author's affiliation at the time the research was completed, and each author's address, including complete mailing address, phone number, and email address. If more than one author has contributed to the article, please provide detailed information for the respective authors.

  • Abstract: The abstract should be self-contained, meaning there are no citations within the abstract. The abstract should concisely inform readers about the purpose of the manuscript, its methods, findings, and value. The abstract should be relatively non-technical, yet clear enough for readers to understand the contribution of the manuscript. The manuscript title, but not author names or other identifiers, should not be included on the abstract page. The abstract should be between 100-200 words, presented in English on a separate page immediately before the manuscript text.

  • Keywords: Keywords are an important part of abstract writing. Authors should select a maximum of five keywords that are specific and reflect the key points in the article. Keywords and article classification should be provided after the abstract.

Main Article

Manuscripts submitted to this journal must have the following main components:

  • Introduction: What is the purpose of this research? Why did you conduct the research? The main body of the article should begin with an introduction that provides more details about the paper's objective, motivation, research method, and findings. The introduction should be relatively non-technical, yet clear enough for readers to understand the contribution of the manuscript.
  • Literature Review: In this section, the author will discuss the purpose of the literature review.
  • Methods: This section typically has the following subsections: sampling (description of the target population, research context, and unit of analysis; sampling; and respondent profile); data collection; and measurement (alternatively: measurement). This method includes the research framework flowchart.
  • Results and Discussion: Authors need to report their results in enough detail so that readers can see which statistical analyses were performed and why, and then can justify their conclusions. Different authors take different approaches when writing the discussion section. According to Feldman (2004:5), Perry et al. (2003: 658), and Summers (2001: 411412), the discussion section should:
    • Restate the main research objective;
    • Reaffirm the importance of this research by restating its main contributions;
    • Summarize the results in relation to each research objective or hypothesis, without introducing new material;
    • Reconnect the findings to the literature and results reported by other researchers;
    • Provide possible explanations for unexpected or non-significant findings;
    • Discuss the managerial implications of this research;
    • Highlight the main limitations of the research
